On the 14th and 15th of October, from 10am to 5pm, Heritage Malta is opening the enchanting doors of Villa Portelli in Kalkara to the public for a weekend extravaganza.
It has recently fallen under the care of Heritage Malta, after serving as Malta Maritime Institute. This stunning piece of architecture, full of rich history had been neglected for years. Thankfully, it is now in the process of being restored.
This captivating weekend promises a kaleidoscope of activities, immersing visitors into a rich tapestry of art, history, and craftsmanship.
Situated on 4 tumoli of land, Villa Portelli’s impressive structure stands as a testament to Malta’s historical narrative. Once a residence to influential figures during the British period, the villa’s story unfolds with each step you take.
