This exhibition brings together a compelling body of work by Emvin Cremona (1919–1987), often referred to as the 'broken glass series'—a term Cremona himself resisted. The artist preferred the phrase 'glass collages', signalling not fragmentation, but reassembly. THE GLASS COLLAGE exhibition invites visitors to reframe these works not as shattered remnants, but as intentional acts of reconstruction, where form and matter are reimagined.
Cremona’s fascination with material was central to his creative practice. In this series, glass becomes more than a medium—it becomes a metaphor. Working at a time of political, social, and technological transformation, Cremona used these works to explore the tension between destruction and creation, fragility and permanence, chaos and control.
