Raniero Borg, the thrill-seeker behind well-known Facebook page ‘Raniero’s Adventures’, often gets to show his audience the lesser-known beauty of the Maltese islands…

However, his most recent video proved to be quite distressing, to say the least.

Whilst out on a diving adventure in what’s meant to be the stunning Maltese sea, Raniero came across ridiculous amounts of Jablo floating on the sea surface.”

It is important that if you come across any situation like this, take action, do it yourself or else ask for help. There are so many entities and NGOs that are willing to help”, Raniero told his audience.

Take interest for our generation and the generations to come. We are causing an increase in destruction and if we do nothing about it, we could just crumble beneath it”, he continued.

Needless to say, Raniero wasn’t going to leave this mess uncleaned…

In a time lapse uploaded to Facebook soon after the original video which can be viewed here, Raniero showed his audience two-and-a-half hours’ worth of strenuous manual work as he took it upon himself to clean up the Jablo.

He thanked Marina Di Valletta for providing him the equipment needed and Clean Malta - Cleansing and Maintenance Division for picking up the waste collected.

Well done, Raniero!
