Put your seat belt on! Driving tests to resume from tomorrow
Students will be permitted to sit for both theory and practical exams.

Driving tests, which have been on temporary hold since March due to COVID-19, will be resuming as from tomorrow 1st June.

All driving license categories - A, B, C and D - will be permitted to sit for both the theoretical and practical part of the driving test.

A number of measures have been put in place to protest both student and examiner: Only two people will be allowed in the car at the same time meaning the instructor will no longer be permitted to join the student during the test; car windows will remain open at all times; both examiner and student must wear a face-mask or visor at all times and the driving instructor must disinfect the handlebars and seat with 70% alcohol before and after each test. In the case of motorcycle tests (A), sharing of helmets is not permitted.

As for the theory part of the exam: tests will be done by appointment only, technological devices must be disinfected before and after each test; masks, visors, or both, must be worn inside, and while reading assistance and translators were previously offered as a service, this will no longer be the case for the time being.

Furthermore, temperatures will be taken before each test, with examiners given permission to deny entry to students deemed unwell. Vulnerable instructors, or instructors living with children or vulnerable family members, will be allowed to reschedule their tests.
