It's official! New dates for Tokyo Olympics announced
Plans for this year’s Olympic and Paralympic Games have been moved to 2021

Following news that the Tokyo 2020 Olympics have been postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the exact dates for the summer games have now been revealed.

Initially meant to be held between 24th July and 9th August, 2020, the Tokyo Olympic Games will now kick off on 23rd July 2021 and will stretch till 8th August. Despite the one-year postponement, the Games will still be referred to as Tokyo 2020.

On the other hand, the Paralympic Games, which were initially meant to start on 25th August, 2020, will now be held between 24th August and 5th September, 2021.

Athletes can now prepare with a fixed goal in mind.
