It’s Malta Pride Week! Here’s all the colourful fun you can get up to this week

The most vibrant and colourful event of the year is back on the rock and is expected to be fabulous! Malta Pride Week is on and will be running until Sunday 15th September.

And what better way to celebrate Pride than on the island that topped the charts in Rainbow Europe’s rankings and is also one of the top travel destinations for the LGBTI+ community? With festivities well underway, here’s what’s on this Pride Week in Malta!

1. Film Night

Tonight, Pride Week is remembering the life and death of the African-American transgender woman and LGBTQ rights activists, Marsha P. Johnson. The film is being shown at 67, Strait Street Valletta at 7pm.

2. Drag Queen Masterclass

On Wednesday 11th, MAC Cosmetics will be hosting a drag queen make-up masterclass for all those questions you were afraid to ask!

3. Orpheum Cabaret

Orpheum Cabaret will bring together the finest artists to perform a one-night-only Cabaret Show at the breath-taking Orpheum Theatre in Gzira on Thursday 12th September. The show will include familiar faces like Chiara (yes, ‘I’ll be your angel’ Chiara), Peter Carbonaro, Michela Galea, and Ira Losco.

6. Human Rights Conference

The Human Rights Conference will be discussing advancing LGBTQ+ equality in Malta and beyond. For those who would like to attend, it’s being held at The Palace in Sliema.

7. Pride March

What is probably the most-awaited event of Pride Week will be held on Saturday 14th starting from The Granaries in Floriana. Thousands of LGBTQ+ individuals and supporters are expected to attend, filling Valletta’s streets with colour and love for the day.

8. Malta Pride Concert

The Malta Pride Concert will be held on Saturday 14th September at the prestigious St George’s Square, which will be decorated in all colours of the rainbow and will definitely have a buzzing vibe for the evening.

9. Pride After Party

The LGBTQ+ community really knows how to PAR-TAY! Another pride party will take place at Phoenix Club in Gianpula Village, featuring special guest X Factor Malta runner-up, Owen Leuellen to take you well into the night.

10. Sundown Sunday
