If Friday had to be an image! Dolphins spotted enjoying a golden Maltese sunrise
Golden hour + dolphins = magic!

Francesca Vella

The lucky local Mattias Palmer has captured an absolutely stunning moment at sea – two dolphins gracefully swimming together under the soft glow of sunrise, just off Malta’s coast.

Encounters with dolphins in Maltese waters, especially during calm mornings, are not unheard of – particularly if you have a very keen eye while on the Gozo ferry – but capturing such a perfect, peaceful moment is something truly special. Well done Mattias!

If you’re out at sea and are lucky enough to catch sight of the gentle beauties, make sure to keep a respectful distance so they can enjoy the serenity just as much as you!

Have you seen any dolphins recently?
