Malta is slaying at the tourism game! Our tiny rock ranked fourth place in the 10 best tourism destinations for LGBTI+ people as indexed by Spartacus. Spartacus is a gay travel guide which offers holiday advice to the LGBTI+ community.
Spartacus placed Malta in the fourth ranking, giving our country a score of nine out of 10, following Canada, Portugal and Sweden. Last year, Malta ranked in 21st place, so this is definitely a step in the right direction!
Apart from the obvious introduction of laws pertaining to equal marriage, Spartacus attributed such a significant ranking to Malta’s success in becoming the first EU state to criminalise all forms of conversion practices and the advertising thereof.
Way to go, Malta!
