If you’re planning a cultural trip to Valletta soon, take note – a section of the National Museum of Archaeology will be temporarily closed to the public. From Monday 23rd June to Sunday 6th July, the museum’s Neolithic section will be inaccessible to allow for essential maintenance works to be carried out.

While this area is undergoing improvements, the rest of the museum will remain open as usual, continuing to offer visitors a fascinating look at Malta’s rich prehistoric and ancient heritage.

To compensate for the partial closure, admission fees will be reduced during this period, with adults paying €3.50, seniors & students €2.50 and entry for children at €1.50.

The museum is expected to fully reopen on Monday 7th July, but visitors are encouraged to follow official channels for updates, as plans may change depending on the progress of the maintenance works.

So if you’ve been meaning to explore the National Museum of Archaeology, now’s a great time to enjoy discounted access – just keep in mind that one key section will be temporarily off limits.

Have you ever visited?
