Malta’s food truck culture is growing and, thankfully, the choices out there are so diverse and excellently crafted we’re far from lacking in the trendy food department. And, plenty of these run-arounds serve up freshly prepared alternatives for the masses. Here are a few you may not have tried yet…

SoFrito

SoFrito is a mobile truck which hits various locations and which focuses on a variety of healthy options, namely falafel, barley and salads all of which gives vegans and vegetarians some awesome choices. They also offer glorious piadina creations which meat eaters will devour and egg rolls filled with cheese and steak. They also serve sweet options for those candy hunters in your crew.

Tacos. Burritos. Tostadas. Nachos. Empanadas. This conversation could pretty much stop here! Those are five glorious words that may cause deprivation insanity. Vegan and vegetarian options are also offered, as well as gluten free options. Get your MexFreshGo with all the fixings, and guacamole crowing the top. Slurp!

Arepa Cafe

If you’ve never heard of arepas, you’re in serious need of some food education. Arepas are magical vessels made with corn flour, grilled to perfection and filled with anything you desire. Meat, veg, cheese or maybe even something sweet like fried plantains all work well here. And you can get your share at Arepa Cafe.
