If you’ve marked your calendars, you’d know that the one-night only spectacular event of Notte Bianca is back this weekend. With a number of activities planned, it’s set to be a fantastic evening. As part of the celebrations, Heritage Malta has announced that their museums and exhibitions will be open totally for free during this event.

In preparation for this event and to welcome hundreds of guests, the museums will close at 3pm on Saturday 5th (last admission 2.30pm) and reopen their doors to the public for free at 6pm, excluding the Fortifications Interpretation Centre and the Palace State Rooms.

During this fabulous evening, the National Museum of Archaeology, the Palace Armoury and Fort St Elmo will remain open up until midnight (last admission at 11.30pm), while MUZA, Malta’s national museum of art, will be open until the early hours (1am).

Heritage Malta, in collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister, is also organising the exhibition entitled Dak li writna – u dak li se nhallu warajna (That which we’ve inherited – and what we’re leaving behind) at the Auberge de Castille. The organisation is also providing free entrance to current temporary exhibitions being hosted at the National Museum of Archaeology: Ta’ Gawhar Tower – Gold, Bread and Fire  and Culhat Al Belt – Sette Giugnio 1919.

Other Heritage Malta sites including MUZA, Fort St Elmo and the National Museum of Archaeology will also be hosting exhibitions and performances including a guitar ensemble, a multicultural event, a 21-piece string orchestra, a circus performance and a sensory show.
