Planning a beach day in Mellieħa this week? If Imgiebah Bay is on your list, take note: the Mellieħa Local Council has announced that the bay will be temporarily closed to the public due to scheduled filming activities.

Filming will take place on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th June 2025, between 08:30 and 6:30PM. During these hours, Imgiebah Bay will not be accessible to the public. Access will resume after 6:30PM on both days.

This temporary closure comes as part of a filming project being carried out with full permits from the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) and the Mellieħa Local Council.

Clear signage has been placed on-site, and personnel will be present to offer guidance throughout the two-day period.

Were you planning a swim later today?

12th June 2025
