Ahead of another hot summer weekend, The Weather Page Malta has shared an important message for those eager to get to the beach.

“We suggest you take a little extra caution when swimming or at sea in areas exposed to the Northwest wind from tomorrow Friday till Sunday,” they wrote, sharing that wind gusts may reach up to Force 4 to 5 and even 6 at times, making conditions a little difficult.

Bays to avoid include Paradise Bay, Cirkewwa, Armier, Sliema, Golden Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha (Riviera Bay), Gnejna Bay and Anchor Bay in Malta, and Marsalforn, Dwejra, Xlendi, Ramla Bay in Gozo, as well as Comino.

“If you think the area you'll be at isn't fit for swimming don't risk it!” they warn, adding that while this isn’t an official weather warning, it would be best for swimmers to exercise caution, so as to avoid getting into any difficulties.

 Stay safe out there guys!
