BREAKING: Airport to reopen on 1st July, confirms PM Robert Abela

Following weeks of speculation, Prime Minister Dr Robert Abela has this morning confirmed the Malta International Airport will be reopening on Wednesday 1st July.

The date was announced as part of a timeline revealed by the Prime Minister to reassert a new normality to the Maltese islands in the coming months, after the COVID-19 semi-lockdown experienced in spring.

Protocols for the reopening - including whether or not a 14-day quarantine will be imposed on travellers - will be announced tomorrow,
