We are about to step into the second month of meteorological summer, and the Maltese Islands are bracing themselves for what July has in store. Here’s everything you need to know about typical weather in July in Malta and Gozo.

Known as the driest month of the year, July usually brings minimal precipitation and scorching temperatures. The temperatures generally averages at 32 degrees high during the day and at 25 degrees at night - the perfect temperature for a BBQ!

If you're planning a holiday to Malta during July, definitely don't forget to pack your swimsuit! The sea temperature is typically a pleasant 26 degrees, warm enough even for those who are wary of cool seas.

The long days that June brought about will persist, as hours of sunshine in July average 12 hours per day, allowing some time for a quick dip after work!

The month ahead is often a dry one, as chance of rain in July is usually minimal. Even if the skies do surprise us with a rare shower, the temperatures aren't expected to drop too much in these moments. 

As locals and tourists alike embrace the beauty of the Maltese Islands in July, we can expect warm temperatures, ample sunshine, and a predominantly dry climate. Remember to keep hydrated and use sunblock, a hat and sunglasses, wherever you decide to enjoy the weather from!
