Maltese tennis superstars Francesca Curmi and Elaine Genovese are making Malta proud at the Mediterranean Games, having just reached the final at the women’s doubles event.

The local pair got to this stage after beating Italian frontrunners Nuria Brancaccio and Auroro Zantetedeschi.

This means that Francesca and Elaine have already secured a silver medal, at the very least.

The tennis stars will now face off with Jessica Bouas Maneiro and Guiomar Maristany Zuleta from Spain.

Should Francesca and Elaine win the final, they will keep making history by obtaining Malta’s second-ever gold medal at the Mediterranean Games.

Wishing you the best of luck, Francesca and Elaine!
