Local Councillor, activist and athlete, Steve Zammit Lupi has made it on the prestigious European Young List curated by Friends of Europe.

The list includes “a diverse group of new leaders coming from different backgrounds, able to generate fresh ideas that inspire action and generate change”.

This list is generated to highlight the leaders that are building “a more forward-thinking Europe”.

One of the reasons why Steve Zammit Lupi was included in this list is because he “champions initiatives that seek to protect the environment and promote sustainable transport and mobility”.

He also famously cycled 4,400km across Europe from Malta to Stockholm in 41 days to raise awareness about greener modes of transport.

Congratulations Steve!
