We’ll miss you! University students’ beloved coffee shop is closing its doors
Thank you for all the good times!

An era at University is coming to an end as one of the most popular cafes off campus is closing its doors. The sweet owners of Meet ‘n’ Eat, Roberta and Mario announced the news on the coffee shop’s Facebook past yesterday evening.

“We would have never imagined that, back in 2004, when we finally fulfilled a wish of running our own small coffee shop, that we would be sharing this today, an incredible 15 years later,” they start off.

“The journey of Meet ’n’ Eat has reached its end, and although we wish to have closed our doors during better times, nothing will take away from the unforgettable memories and people we’ve met along the way - the many students we’ve made coffee ‘in a mug’ for, the many conversations we’ve shared with clients who could also be considered friends, and the countless number of baguettes we’ve prepared day after day.” Excuse us, we’re getting a little emotional…

“The experience wouldn’t have been the same without the great team of people we’ve had the pleasure to work side-by-side with all these years, and a big thanks goes to everyone who stopped by Meet ’n Eat at some point or other for a cappuccino, a chat, or a bite to eat. We wish everyone a good academic year. It’s been a great run - onwards from here!”
