If you’ve ever taken a daytime stroll by Ghar Lapsi’s iconic cliffs, you’re bound to have spotted the area’s seldom explored cliffside caves.
Situated right at the pinnacle of a very steep incline, it comes as no surprise that few people have dared to pay these caves a visit, however, local adventurer Pierre Farrugia has once again defied all expectations to take his followers on a virtual tour of the site.
Ever wondered what’s inside these caves? Well then, today’s your lucky day
Explorer Pierre Farrugia kicked off his expedition at Ghar Lapsi’s man-made trail, situated right next to the area’s car park. Soon enough, however, Pierre veered off the track to make his way up the cliff’s steep incline, leading to the caves.
As one would expect, making this journey is no easy feat, however it’s totally worth it given the scenic views waiting for trekkers at the top – just check out the island of Filfa, framed perfectly by the cave’s entrance!
Once you’re up at the top, there is no obvious path to follow, so trekkers need to be extra careful.

Unfortunately, Pierre also came across some graffiti inside one of the caves. Whilst the message it puts forward is somewhat positive, there are undoubtedly far better places to make one’s opinion heard…
