Yesterday while walking in Selmun, local Marvin Agius happened upon a peculiar sight and was compelled to intervene. He came across a black snake struggling with a Redbull can that was left behind by a very inconsiderate so and so.

“Today in Selmun. This is what happens when we throw garbage in our countryside. Please share for awareness,” Marvin appeals. In one video that he posted, the poor snake is seen struggling to get out of the can, dragging it along with him.

The video shows Marvin and another guy trying to breaking the snake free from the can with the only thing they had available - a key. Finally, the snake manages to squiggle out, retreating a little on the floor, almost as if pausing to say ‘thank you’ to the men before slithering off into the grass.

Watch the moment here:

We hope this helps you think twice about leaving your garbage behind!
