If you’re planning to catch a ride to or from Malta International Airport, there’s an important update you’ll want to keep in mind, especially if you’re using a taxi service booked through a mobile app.

As of today, taxis booked via mobile apps will no longer pick up passengers outside the main terminal entrance. Instead, a new designated pick-up zone has been introduced to streamline traffic and improve flow around the arrivals area.

The new pick-up point is located on Level -1, accessible via the tunnel through the main car park. Clear signage within the airport should help guide you to the new location.

This change affects all ride-hailing services operating at the airport, so if you're ordering a taxi via your phone, make sure to head straight to the new designated pick-up zone after collecting your luggage.

Whether you're arriving or heading out, make sure to factor in the short walk to the new area to avoid delays, especially during peak travel times.
