In his latest video, local explorer Angelo Caruana takes his viewers on a tour of one of Mellieha’s lesser-known yet historically rich beaches – Tal-Imgharqa Bay.

As he was making his way along the path to the beach, he encountered some charcoal remains and used the video to make a plea for everyone to not cause damage to our beautiful environment. Afterall, barbeques in such areas are illegal.

The views were above the bay were stunning, although they kept getting better and better the closer Angelo got to the bottom of the beach.

Tal-Imgharqa Bay is actually a very popular spot for people to visit aboard their boats. If you’re looking for some peace and quiet, your best bet would therefore be to check this beach out in colder months.

Apart from being a stunning spot, Tal-Imgharqa Bay also has some interesting historical ties to World War II.

Angelo came across a pill box dating back to the war period just a stone’s throw away from the beach. Although it is now in ruins, back in the day British soldiers would be stationed there to protect the islands from attacks.
