All the Maltese streets where demolition and excavation is forbidden this summer
Demolition and excavation works are banned from several tourism areas between 15th June to 30th September

From 15th June to 30th September, demolition and excavation works are prohibited from selected tourism areas.

This annual initiative, which is coordinated between the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA), takes into account the inconvenience that construction sites cause on surrounding residences and hotels.

Demolition and excavation works are forbidden in all areas in Valletta, Birgu, Isla, Bormla, Mdina, Wied iż-Żurrieq, Comino, Ramla l-Ħamra.

It is also forbidden in certain streets and areas in Attard, Birżebbuġa, Floriana, Gżira, Marsaskala, Marsaxlokk, Mellieħa, Mosta, Rabat, Sliema, St Julian’s, Swieqi, St Paul’s Bay, Għasri, Għarb, Marsalforn, Mġarr (Gozo), Għajnsielem, Qala, Sannat, San Lawrenz, Rabat (Gozo), Xagħra, Munxar, Xlendi.

Any illegal demolition and excavation work carried out between these dates in the identified areas and streets may be reported to the BCA on number 138 during and after office hours.
