Beloved UK Eurovision star Sam Ryder took to Instagram to give his followers a quick peek into his short yet eventful stay in Malta earlier this month.

Sam travelled to the islands to perform live at the iconic Fort Manoel on Sunday 17th July – and it’s safe to say that his audience had a pure blast.

The British singer first rose to prominence during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, after posting a number of music covers on his TikTok account.

He went on to further his international success by performing ‘Space Man’ at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. His memorable performances helped break the UK’s unlucky Eurovision streak, finishing first in the jury vote and second overall.

Though fast-paced, Sam’s Instagram clip detailing his stay in Malta gave a lot away…

For starters, it seems like the British star stayed at the Hyatt Regency in St Julian’s, with his balcony showing off stunning views of the nearby Palazzo Villa Rosa.

Sam and his team went on to have lunch at Valletta’s quintessential Trattoria Da Pippo. Not only is this spot known to cook up some delicious Italian grub, but it’s also served a plethora of local and international celebrities.

Just last April, the restaurant was featured in well-known Italian newspaper La Repubblica, where it was showered with praise and named as “one of the most incredible and hidden places in Europe.”

Food aside – Sam went on to sample a few of the islands’ idyllic beaches, where he practiced his dives and even met a cute dog.

Last but surely not least, the ‘Space Man’ singer can be seen gearing up for the well-attended concert and meeting one very passionate young fan who surprised him with a full-on poster.

We hope your stay on the island was as fun as it looked!
