Local vlogger Pierre Farrugia takes viewers on a fascinating underground adventure in Mellieħa, uncovering a series of caves that many pass by daily but rarely explore. Visible from the Mellieħa bypass, these hidden spaces had long sparked curiosity - until now.

In this latest exploration, Pierre sets out to discover four distinct caves, each with its own character and story. The first cave proves relatively easy to access, revealing a blend of natural rock formations and man-made modifications. With a front wall that may once have served as part of a dwelling, the space is divided into two sections, hinting at a past life shaped by human use.
The second cave is more challenging to locate but offers a more refined structure. Featuring what appears to be a doorway and window openings, it resembles a small, built-up shelter and boasts the best views of the surrounding area. However, the experience is slightly overshadowed by the presence of discarded items such as mattresses and rubbish - an unfortunate reminder of the need for greater environmental respect.

Nearby, the third cave presents a contrast. More natural and seemingly untouched, it offers a glimpse into the raw beauty of these formations, free from significant human interference.
The highlight of the journey is undoubtedly the fourth cave. Well-hidden and difficult to find, it requires entering through a narrow opening in the cliff before descending into a remarkable space. Inside, two interconnected caves open out dramatically onto the bypass, creating a striking and memorable setting.

Pierre’s adventure not only showcases the hidden wonders of Mellieħa but also carries an important message: explore responsibly and always leave no trace, preserving these unique sites for future generations.
