Safe travels!

Bye kiddo! A turtle was captured on film waddling his way from the sandy beach to our gorgeous blue waters after spendign some time here with Nature Trust. People gathered to watch this guy’s journey back into the wild begin and judging by the footage, it was quite the momentuous event.

It seems this guy’s name is Dodo and according to Nature Trust’s Adopt a Turtle page, he was preparing to head back home this morning. They said it’s a “big day” for everyone at Nature Trust who helped this guy out, but an “even bigger one for our DODO who will be going back home very soon.”

Dodo was adopted by various locals who pitched in for his recovery through Nature Trust’s Adopt a Turtle. There are other turtles who are in need of help. You can be their hero! For more information visit their page.
