The Meteorological Office has released a yellow weather warning as strong southwesterly winds are set to affect the Maltese Islands, later veering toward the west-southwest. These gusts are expected to intensify at times, particularly across open and exposed areas.

According to forecasts, wind speeds may reach Force 5 to 6 on the Beaufort scale, creating potentially challenging conditions, especially along coastal zones where the impact is likely to be strongest.

Residents are advised to remain cautious and take appropriate safety measures, particularly if spending time near the sea or in elevated, unsheltered locations. Securing loose outdoor items and staying updated on changing conditions is recommended.

The warning will stay in place until 2:00am on 5th February. For the latest updates and a full weather forecast, consult the Meteorological Office’s official website.

Here’s to another windy day!
