The Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) has just launched a campaign to capture the world’s attention and entice tourists to visit Malta once the COVID-19 crisis is dealt with.
The one-minute-long video highlights Malta's most beautiful spots, which are accompanied with an inspirational narrative on-screen: “Keep faith, stay strong,” reads one slogan. Another reads: “Bright days shall return.”
Despite tourism being at a standstill across the globe, Malta has chosen to persevere in marketing the island as a top Mediterranean location: “we devised a campaign, oriented towards different areas of interest, through which we aim to provide prospective visitors with a taste of the Maltese islands and entice them to visit at a later date,” says Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Julia Farrugia Portelli.
Elaborating further on this strategy, Johann Buttigieg, CEO at MTA said that: “One has to keep in mind that, as soon as the COVID-19 crisis is over, competition among tourism destinations will be fiercer than ever. So, it is imperative that we are among the front runners when this occurs and that, together with our industry stakeholders, we can provide the best possible product to attract visitors to Malta as we were doing before the pandemic started."
We can't wait to welcome you back!
