The heroes at Mater Dei’s Infectious Diseases Unit are asking all of us for help
Their request is pretty simple.

While medical staff at local hospitals and healthcare centres have been working tirelessly to ensure the containment of COVID-19 in Malta and Gozo, the Molecular Diagnostics Infectious Diseases team at Mater Dei Hospital has taken a moment to ask the public for help.

A post shared to Facebook highlights how the team of experts is “working round the clock to ensure smooth coronavirus testing across Malta.”

“So far, we have carried out more than 7,000 swab tests...making Malta the third highest European country in which testing is taking place.”

In the photo, team members, who are putting the public’s health before their own, can be seen holding up cards with very simple requests – “You rest while we test”, one card reads, while another asks “#stayhome”.

Let’s make their lives easier and do just that!
