Step back in time! Discover Malta’s lost sites of Kordin with guided tours this October
Heritage Malta is inviting the public to step back in time with a special series of guided tours at the Kordin III megalithic site in Paola. Taking place on Friday, 18th October, the Lost Sites of Kordin Tours will provide visitors with a rare chance to uncover the fascinating history of this prehistoric landmark.
A total of four tours will be held between 9.00am and 12.00pm, alternating between Maltese and English. Alongside exploring Kordin III, curators will also delve into the stories of the long-lost sites of Kordin I and Kordin II. Though these sites no longer survive, their significance endures through archaeological documentation, past excavations, and their connection to Malta’s wider ancient landscape.
Participants will gain insight into how the three Kordin sites once formed part of a greater prehistoric network. The tours will also highlight the relationship of the Kordin complex with nearby archaeological treasures such as the Tarxien Temples, the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, and the Santa Luċija Hypogeum.
This event offers a unique opportunity to experience Malta’s deep past through expert guidance, revealing layers of history that continue to shape the island’s identity.
Tickets can be purchased via Heritage Malta’s online store or in person from any Heritage Malta museum or site.
