Summer’s nearly over! Maximum temperatures in Malta & Gozo to dip below 30°C from tomorrow
September's bringing cooler nights and more comfortable days.

It’s official – summer is slowly waving goodbye! According to Maltese Islands Weather, maximum temperatures across Malta and Gozo are expected to drop below 30°C starting tomorrow (Thursday 18th September), settling at around 28°C on Friday, through the weekend and into next week.

Don’t pack away your handheld fan just yet though – with the humidity still high, the real feel will linger closer to 30°C.

Evenings will start to feel fresher too. On Monday night, the real feel will dip to a cool 19°C, while on other days it should hover around 21°C – perfect for a pleasant evening stroll or dining outdoors.

Winds will pick up from tomorrow evening, reaching a force 5 on Friday. Nothing too dramatic, but if you’re heading out for a beach or boat day, it’s worth keeping an eye on currents and swell.

Another sign that summer is slipping away is the UV index that’s down to 7, a noticeable drop from the scorching highs of 8–10 we had just a few weeks ago. Still, you can easily get dehydrated or sunburnt, so don’t forget your water bottle and sunblock!

Looks like September is treating us to a more comfortable end-of-summer vibe, and the autumn-lovers are definitely celebrating!

Looking forward to sweater weather?
