Heads up! Malta Public Transport announces special routes for Birgu Fest this weekend
Extra Route 2 and S10 buses will be running between Valletta and Birgu on Saturday night.
Malta Public Transport has just announced special and extended services on Saturday 11th October 2025, making it easier to travel to and from this much-loved Birgu Fest.
To meet the expected increase in demand, four additional trips will be added on Route 2 between Valletta and Birgu, increasing frequency between 8.45pm and 10.55pm.
In addition, a special S10 service will operate from Birgu (Café Riche stop) back to Valletta between 11.20pm and 1am, helping festivalgoers get home comfortably after the evening’s events.
Tallinja Card holders can travel free of charge, while cash or contactless tickets will cost €2.50 on Route 2 and €3.00 on Route S10.

Route 2 (Valletta to Birgu): 20:45, 21:00, 21:15, 21:30, 21:45, 22:00, 22:15, 22:30
Route 2 (Birgu to Valletta): 21:15, 21:25, 21:45, 21:55, 22:15, 22:25, 22:45, 22:55
Route S10 (Café Riche to Valletta): 23:20, 23:40, 00:00, 00:30, 01:00
