Squeaky clean! New shower facilities added to three beaches around Malta
Check out which three beaches now have publicly accessible showers.

Kim Vella

We all have that one friend who refuses to join in on some beach day fun because they're entirely against spending the day feeling extra salty.

Well, we might have just found a solution to that…

The Luna l-Fekruna Facebook page, tasked with keeping the island updated regarding any developments related to beaches, has just revealed that three beaches around Malta have just gotten some brand new public showers.

The beaches benefitting from this investment are as follows:

  •  Fajtata, Marsascala
  •  Golden Bay, Mellieha
  •  St. George's Bay, St. Julian's

The post also noted that the use of soap and shampoo at these showers is prohibited

The reason for this is to reduce contamination or potential contamination from shower runoff directly into the sea. This helps to protect all sea creatures and sea economies.

Will you be visiting any of these beaches?
