She’s back! You can finally take a dip in the newly regenerated Balluta Bay in St Julian’s
And right on time too!

Balluta Bay is back for another year and just in time for the summer peak! Following a sand regeneration project funded by the Marriot Hotel (formerly known as Le Meridien), Balluta Bay is now ready to welcome beach-goers for a day on the sand. Someone hand us our sunnies and let’s head to the beach, pronto!

Balluta Bay underwent the same type of regeneration last summer to test whether the beach could replenish itself (as it should be doing). The project was a success and everything was running smoothly until that totally unexpected storm hit our shores in February.

The Foundation for Tourism Zone Development has also contributed to the regeneration by adding some cool beach furniture to the sandy beach.

Apart from this popular bay, beaches like Fajtata, St George’s Bay in Birzebbuga and St Thomas Bay in Marsaskala are either ready to welcome avid swimmers, or currently being replenished or waiting for their turn to get some TLC!

Will you be hitting the beach?
