If the September air has you craving pumpkin spice lattes and all things autumn, then here’s an event you won’t want to miss! Mosta will be welcoming the upcoming change of season with Festa Qargħasel, a festive evening dedicated to the rich flavours and traditions of pumpkin and honey.
The name itself is a playful mix of two Maltese words – Qargha (pumpkin) and Għasel (honey) – and the festival celebrates everything these autumn favourites have to offer.
Head to Mosta Square this Saturday 13th September from 5 PM onwards, and you’ll find food stalls serving up unique pumpkin and honey creations, artisanal treats, homemade products, and even a cocktail bar shaking up seasonal drinks inspired by the harvest.
And it’s not just about indulging! For those curious to explore the cultural roots of these ingredients, informative stands will be demonstrating the importance of pumpkin and honey in Maltese tradition.
The square will come alive with live performances from local favourites including Andreana Debattista, Drakard, Kapitlu Tlettax, and The Busker. Little ones will be just as entertained, with a kids’ zone featuring a bouncy castle, quad bikes, face painting, and plenty more.
Worried about parking? A Park & Ride service will be available from MCAST Mosta straight to the square, making the evening hassle-free for all.
Don’t miss this special autumn celebration that brings together food, culture, and community, all at the foot of Mosta’s iconic Rotunda.
