Postponed! Pope Francis won’t be coming to Malta this May

As expected, Pope Francis’ visit to Malta has officially been postponed. He was scheduled to visit on 31st May but due to the Coronavirus spreading globally, the trip has been called off.

“In light of the current global situation, and after reaching an agreement with the Maltese authorities and Catholic Church, Pope Francis’ apostolic visit to to Malta and Gozo will be postponed,” the Maltese Curia reportedly said in a statement. “The new date of his visit will be announced later on.”
