Plan your route! This major road leading to Santa Venera will be closed this weekend

Attention drivers! If you’re planning to head to the south this weekend, you might need to think of an alternative route! In order to avoid traffic congestion, The Malta Police Force has announced that the Marsa-Hamrun bypass will be closed for vehicle traffic due to the Santa Venera feast happening this weekend.

Saturday 27th July from 10pm to 11.30pm

“Marsa-Hamrun Bypass will be closed to vehicular traffic from Marsa which will be diverted from over the bridge near Quintano Food Products to the underpass leading to Hal Qormi and to Santa Venera,” the Malta Police Force said in a Facebook post, spreading the world to locals.

Traffic in this area on Saturday coming from the Mriehel bypass towards Marsa-Hamrun will be diverted to the underpass leading to Santa Venera and Hal Qormi.

Sunday 28th July from 8pm to 10.30pm

The Marsa-Hamrun bypass will also be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday and will use the same diversion as the above (via the bridge near Quintano Food Products). Traffic will also be diverted via the underpass leading to Santa Venera and Hal Qormi.
