OMG! Parking could get a whole lot easier with this cool app that's just launched in Malta
Whaaat?

Parking in Malta in certain (ahem, most) areas and at particular times is a downright nightmare. But that could all change with a new app pilot project which will indicate vacant parking spots. Bis-serjeta?! Yup.

Launched by Government in collaboration with Vodafone, this is all part of an initiative to introduce new technologies as part of Malta’s digital strategy to benefit society in everyday life.

But, how will it work?

Sensors in parking areas will be installed to indicate the vacant spots which will then be shown on the app available to drivers. So, if you’re really in a pickle, you can just open the app (after pulling over of course) and look for the nearest spot.

The project is expected to be launched in Luqa first, extending to other localities later on.

Could this be the solution to our parking problems? Let us know what you think!
