Malta’s status as one of the Mediterranean’s best spots has been long known, but it has recently been cemented by none other than Forbes.com, the digital hub of Forbes magazine, which reportedly enjoys over 20 million unique visitors per month.
In an article penned by Debbi Kickham, Forbes commends the natural beauty of the island as its best attribute: “The sunny islands of Malta, in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, are home to a most remarkable concentration of intact built heritage, including the highest density of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in any nation-state anywhere,” she writes.
It also mentions Malta’s role in the international film industry, even suggesting a possible encounter with one of Hollywood’s hottest men: “You might even happen upon Brad Pitt there,” she wrote, adding that three of his films had been shot here (Troy (2004), World War Z (2013) and By the Sea (2016)).
Suggesting various five star hotels across the island for couples to enjoy a romantic Valentine’s holiday, Forbes also highlights the island’s versatility: “Malta is a rising, hot travel destination, known for its beautiful beaches, intoxicating nightlife, thrilling water sports adventures, delicious dining as well as its fun, upbeat activities. So why not take your sweetie here for the upcoming Valentine’s Day celebration?”
