Sheesh Mother Nature, you’re really bringing out the big guns! According to Malta Weather, our islands are set to experience some crazy winds this week.
“The wind is expected to reach Force 7 from a southeasterly direction this coming Tuesday due to a sharp contrast between high pressure over eastern Europe and low pressure over Algeria and Morocco,” the local weather site reports.
And as if that wasn’t enough, It-Temp Madwarna are predicting south winds, which we call the dreaded rih isfel. Ugh. “High pressure dominating the UK will keep getting stronger, also spreading towards Europe and the Balkans, while a system of low pressure will form over Spain and Portugal,” they say. This will cause humid currents to blow over the Maltese Islands for several days.
The weather site has said that while it will be quite humid, good weather will prevail, but it will get cloudy at times. There’s a slight chance that rain showers might occur between today and tomorrow, but nothing major to worry about. And thankfully, temperatures will be a smidge warmer, reaching highs of 16°C and lows of about 11 or 13°C.
