MUZA

Malta’s new Museum of Fine Arts (MUŻA), due to be inaugurated in the middle of this year, has been named one of the 15 most noteworthy museums opening in 2018 by Architecture Digest, the international design authority magazine.

The national community-art museum, named after the Maltese word for ‘inspiration, is the flagship project of Valletta Capital of Culture 2018 and will be located in the Auberge d’Italie, a historic site which was once the seat of the Italian knights of the Order of St John and which is currently being retro-fitted to be eco-friendly and green-powered.
