The Maltese Islands have been serving some seriously wild weather today, with plenty of rain and lots of wind hitting the country., resulting in floods across various low-lying localities - a common sight during heavy rain in Malta.
Less common, however, was the funnel cloud that formed off the east coast of Malta, photographed by Adrian Farrugia from Xgħajra, and another by Gordon Demsy.
Local weather pages It-Temp Madwarna and Aġġornament tat-Temp took to social media to share a striking image of this rare meteorological phenomenon, appearing a little too close for comfort to a ship out at sea.
