Locals are outraged by images shared on a popular animal support group on Facebook that show a poor cat that seemingly had its front and back paws cut off. A woman found the cat in Triq tal-Hlas in Zebbug.

“Coming down from the church there is a cat with its arms and legs cut off... I’ve tried calling Animal Welfare but it’s not ringing and I had to leave. It’s in pain and as soon as I went next to it, she started to moan,” the woman said earlier today.

The woman posted an update saying that the cat was picked up and taken to the emergency room. She will then be put up for adoption if all goes well.
