Finally, getting time off work and you’re visiting Malta for a few days but you’re not quite sure what the weather is going to look like? Well, May tends to be the first reliable dry and sunny month in Malta although it lacks the higher temperatures that we usually get in summer.

Here’s everything you need to know about typical weather in May in Malta and Gozo.

The temperature averages at 20ºC high during the day and at 18ºC at night which means it’s pretty warm and you definitely won’t be needing any heavy coats or jackets.

Also, make sure to pack a swimsuit or two as the sea is absolutely lovely this time of year. At a refreshing average temperature of 19ºC, the sea will be your best companion during this month, especially since it’s not too busy, unlike the summer months.

Visitors to Malta will be able to enjoy 10 hours of daylight every day during the month of May. What more could you wish for? In May, Malta receives an average of only 9mm of rainfall divided between three rainy days which is as dry as it gets!

Will you be visiting Malta this May?
