Is it finally here? This week’s predicted rainy spell inches closer to our shores
Early forecasts promised Malta a wet week

Although delayed, it seems that rain is still very much in the agenda for the Maltese islands. The most recent weather forecasts continue to predict a lengthy wet spell for Malta, but instead of Wednesday, the rain is expected to kick off midway through the weekend.

Starting Saturday, Malta is to be subjected to a showery forecast, which is expected to diminish to isolated showers by Sunday. The rainy threat will stretch till mid-next week, during which F6 winds are also expected.

A weather forecast Facebook page, Malta Weather, also mentions a possibility of thunder: “The weather is expected to take a turn for the worse in Malta and Gozo next week with STRONG WINDS and RAIN showers that may be THUNDERY at times as a trough of low pressure over Libya moves across the central Mediterranean!” the post read.

Temperatures are expected to be coldest during the weekend, with lows of 8 °C predicted for tomorrow, Friday. Brrrrr!

Fluff out your rain coats guys!
