In the spotlight! British newspaper, The Telegraph, names 34 must-try restaurants across the Maltese Islands
Malta’s culinary reputation continues to grow, with The Telegraph spotlighting 34 of the best restaurants across the islands in its newly released guide.
The British newspaper praised Malta’s evolving gastronomic landscape, highlighting its blend of traditional flavours. To help readers navigate the local food scene, the guide organises its recommendations into helpful categories; from refined fine dining and walk-in-friendly gems to family spots, affordable eats, and restaurants serving classic Maltese dishes.
There are the 34 restaurants featured in total with 16 restaurants located in Valletta including Rubino, Guzé, Trattoria da Pippo, Trabuxu Bistro, 59 Republic, Ta’ Nenu, No. 43, Asti Brasserie, Cafe Jubilee, Is-Suq Tal-Belt, Caffe Cordina, Harbour Club, ION by Simon Rogan, Noni, Under Grain, and Legligin.
Three restaurants in Mdina also made the cut including Trattoria AD 1530, Bacchus, and De Mondion. Commando and Mithna in Mellieha and La Nostra Padrona and Tartarun in Marsaxlokk were also included in the list.
Birgu is also home to two restaurants in The Telegraph’s list including Don Berto and Terrone while Fernandõ Gastroteque and Ta’ Kris in Sliema also gained recognition by this British newspaper.
The other restaurants in the list included The Seafood Market by Adam in Gzira, Ta’ Karolina in Xlendi, Gozo, Is-Serkin in Rabat, Bahia in Attard, Rosami in St Julian’s, Ta’ Marija in Mosta, and Il-Barri in Mgarr.
