Introducing Hold The Fort
“Hold The Fort is going to be Malta’s largest active community revolving around sports, most specifically Obstacle Course Races (OCRs),” David says. “Taking part is not going to be about coming first. Anyone who passes the finish line is going to be a winner. We aim to help people understand what they’re made of,” he says, talking about the importance of challenging ourselves.

The OCR’s Ambassadors
Ambassadors have been chosen to lead the Hold The Fort community in Malta. “We’re here to share our experiences, motivate people and help them overcome any obstacles they are facing in their quest to live healthier and happier.”

David loves challenging himself, just like his fellow ambassadors, or, should we say, warriors! “All ambassadors have numerous experiences in both local and foreign races and we all lead very busy lifestyles, but yet still find the time to train and set tough goals,” he notes. “Through our experiences and achievements, we want to accompany HTF’s followers all along, helping them train physically and mentally and get them past the finish line.”

The “race” itself
Details about the race, route and venue are being exclusively designed by The Grid champ Ryan Mex. “Ryan and the team will be making a creative and challenging OCR, but apart from that I’m just as curious as you are!” David reveals. Registrations for this huge OCR aren’t open yet, but Hold The Fort will make sure you know when the deets are released.
OCR in Malta
OCR in Malta has given many people an aim to train for, connecting like-minded people. “People were becoming bored with just running and they started loving the idea of pain and obstacles,” David says. “Our aim is to further bolster the OCR calendar, most specifically in Malta, and further give Maltese and local enthusiasts more opportunities to train and participate in the lovely sport of OCR.” We wouldn’t exactly call an OCR “lovely” David, but we get what you mean.

“Malta is amazing, and we have the perfect history of overcoming obstacles. There is some amazing scenery and this offers a very good choice of terrains to complete the perfect Obstacle Course Race route,” David concludes, noting that it will be great for international OCR enthusiasts to join the course too.
We can't wait to see what these guys have in store!
