It seems like beloved Hollywood actor Russell Crowe has returned to Malta for a brand spanking new project, and we can’t wait to tell you all about it…
Turns out Russell’s here to shoot his upcoming film, Prizefighter.
Set in the 19th century, Prizefighter’s all about a pugilist (that’s an old term for ‘boxer’) who, quite literally, fought his way to becoming the champion of England.
The actor’s already been spotted in different areas around the country, always followed closely by a production crew.
So keep your eyes peeled, you never know where you might see Mr Crowe!
Just a couple of days ago, the actor took to Twitter to inform his Maltese followers of his presence on the islands.
It’s safe to say that this isn’t Russell’s first time in Malta…
Perhaps the film he’s best known for – Gladiator – which also won him an Oscar, was partially filmed here over 20 years ago. One of our many historical gems, Fort Rinella, was even used as part of a set for ancient Rome.
Are you excited to see Malta on the big screen once again?
