What a beaut! This little dude (or dudette, we’re not sure) was spotted by a local chilling at the popular summer beach, Golden Bay.

Malta Weather shared the photo asking whether it’s beautiful or scary. Many agreed that chameleons are harmless and beautiful creatures. “I think they’re lovely however if I saw one walking over to me I’d freak out,” one Facebook user admitted.

Some noted that the beach isn’t its proper habitat. It might have strolled down from the cliffside in between Golden Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha from some quiet time now that it’s not packed with locals and tourists taking a dip on a hot summer’s day.
