A rough start! Inaugural voyage of Ragusa Xpress from Malta may be postponed due to weather
Fingers crossed it goes ahead!

The much-anticipated inaugural voyage of the Ragusa Xpress ferry, scheduled for Saturday, 17th May, may face postponement due to adverse weather conditions. This maiden journey, symbolically significant, was set to be graced by Maltese orphans and families in need, marking a poignant beginning for the new maritime route between Malta and Marina di Ragusa in Sicily.

The inaugural voyage, intended as a gesture of unity and compassion, represents the ferry's mission beyond mere transportation, aiming to foster cultural exchange and support within the Mediterranean community. Local associations in Marina di Ragusa had planned a warm welcome for the young passengers, although whether this voyage will take place remains to be seen.

If weather conditions improve, the service will commence with regular operations on Sunday, 18th May. Passengers and stakeholders are advised to stay updated on the voyage's status through official channels, as weather conditions continue to be monitored closely.

Let’s hope the seas are kind to the future passengers!
